The Highway Community Car scheme

They will take any adult anywhere if they do not have/or cannot drive their own car or no other means available. They will wait for the duration

of an appointment, or even drop them off at a friends for a visit. They are DBS checked and linked to Cambs CC. Charge 30p a mile to cover

their volunteers petrol, minimum charge £3.. If its a long appt, such as Addenbrookes, and goes over an hour and a half the charge is doubled.

Thursday Food

Provides a 2 course hot meal for homeless and vulnerable people and families at Berkely St Methodist Church Room, PE19 2NB..

Food served 6pm to 7pm each Thursday no need to book.

10-2.30 Tuesday, Wednesday and, Friday Community Centre, Church Walk, St Neots PE19 1JH

Also bookable Lunch club Thursday 12 noon run by volunteers.

1000-1100 Chat, tea/coffee and toast.

1100-1230 Activities or entertainment.

1230-1330 Hot freshly cooked lunch. 2 courses.

1330-1430 Hot drinks and bingo with prizes.

Funding and transport available depending on financial assessment via council. Private clients pay £15 per day + lunch cost. All clients pay day

centre for lunch of £7.

Information, advice, practical and emotional support.They help give people confidence and connections. Home from hospital support and

illness crisis support.

Paines Mill

Monday: 9am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-5pm, Tuesday and Wednesday: 9am-12.30pm

A lot of links on website for support in various areas. Help with food supplies and mobile phone data. (Weekly food collections and pre loaded sim cards if

needing mobile connection) Free courses for over 19 yrs old in English, Maths and ICT> Also 121 coaching around money, online skills and work.
