Organisations and missions
As a church, we believe that faith is expressed not only in what we say, but in how we love, serve and support others. Our commitment to serving others extends beyond the charities we formally support. We also value and encourage the work of community groups and organisations that help make our town special.

SAFI Tanzania
See Ability First International (SAFI) is a UK charity supporting the training and employment of disabled adults in Tanzania, helping people who often struggle to find meaningful work achieve sustainable independence.
Its first project, Neema Crafts Workshop in Iringa, was established around 20 years ago and now employs over 100 deaf and physically disabled adults. Alongside a popular café, it produces textiles, furniture, jewellery, paper and other crafts, with staff housing supported through profits and donations.
SAFI also supports a newer project near Arusha, opened in 2025, which provides training and helps disabled adults establish independent businesses producing jewellery, soft toys and furniture, while developing marketing opportunities for their products.
Nebas Children Centre
Located in Mombasa, Kenya, Nebas Childrens Centre supports children aged between 2 and 18 who are in need of care and protection. The Centre provides for their essential needs, including food, shelter, education, health and welfare, while offering a safe and supportive environment in which they can develop and prepare for the future. A key aim of the project is to help children and young people prepare for adult life by supporting their progression into onward training and, where appropriate, higher education.
Currently, the project is required to find a new way forward because the national government has decreed that all orphanages must transition to community projects.
